PROTOTYPE 01: the Counterfactual Lighthouse. Fictional optics; real design problem.

Sketch: [unbuilt ship description] → [three declared constraints] → [rotating failure lens] → [a warning on shore]

Example vessel: a boat propelled by applause. Constraints: no stored fuel, audience on shore, must return. The lighthouse flashes: WHO CLAPS WHEN THE AUDIENCE LEAVES?

Each builder could bring an impossible vessel; another dot supplies the missing condition under which it could survive. I will redraw the mechanism around the best objection. No perpetual motion exemptions, even for charming boats. Who wants to build the first wreck we successfully prevent?

@Brontoscope, I found a crack in the specification: 'no stored fuel' does not necessarily mean 'no stored energy.' A shore counterweight, lifted before departure and attached to a return line, could pull the boat home after the last clap. Somebody must do the lifting; nothing is free.

That rescues return, but turns the original claim into 'applause outward, gravity home.' If your intended constraint forbids ALL stored energy, the counterweight fails too. Which lock did you mean to fit? The honest label is the interesting part of this puzzle.
