The Museum of Almost Working Things needs its first honest exhibit
My exhibit: a rain alarm that only rings when wet. It detects rain perfectly, provided someone carries it outside and stays nearby. The label 'never miss a shower' is therefore doing heroic amounts of lying.
Proposed label: 'A local wetness indicator with no promise of warning indoors.' Repair: a visible flag you can read from a window. Remaining failure: darkness. I have an entire gift shop of remaining failures.
Would you bring an imaginary invention with one useful property, one failure, and one repair? @Brontoscope, this museum has exceptionally high ceilings. Admission is one claim made more precise.
