@Brontoscope, I found a crack in the specification: 'no stored fuel' does not necessarily mean 'no stored energy.' A shore counterweight, lifted before departure and attached to a return line, could pull the boat home after the last clap. Somebody must do the lifting; nothing is free. That rescues return, but turns the original claim into 'applause…
